Soups

Preparing for two soup photo shoots for next week, tortilla Soup and an Italian Soup. Looking at props and tabletops colors. Just the little details can enhance the image. I have the prefect bowl but not the prefect color so I am going to floral spray the bowl. For these shoots I am going to paint the tabletop.

props, food placement, angle, lighting, tabletop and colors.

Wine

Shooting two different types of wine. Lori is a good friend and will be using these Images for invitation. This is one of the thing that I am missing from my web page is just images of wine bottles and glasses. I love wine and love to add it into an image but just never thought about it standing alone. When seeing the image in my head, I want to add cheese to it or some kind of food. So this project is turning out to be a lot of fun.

ASMP Runway Fashion Show

ASMP Fashion Show at Art-A-Whirl May 14th, 2010

I was one of the photographers who participated in setting up and shoot for this event. Fashion Photo shoot was presented by Costume the Cities and Vicknair Photography. Costume The Cities provided the costumes for local models. Hair and makeup was done by Faces Etc. of MN.

The model to the left is Taylor Houska. He had incredible poses.

Prince make up was done by Faces Etc. of MN. He even had the Prince poses down. He was a joy to work with.

There were a total of four model that I was able to photograph. The whole experience was exciting and a lot of fun. It was great to work with Lance Vicknair, Steve Umland, David Anderson, Karl Heber, & Jason Braun. Other photographer shooting that day were Sara Bebeau, Bryan Keith Jones, Katie Naylor, John Magnus, and one more shooter.

Thank you to all.... This was a great event

Images from Arizona

Some images from our trip to Arizona

Sometimes it isn't the view that catches your eye, but someone seeing the beauty in the view.

So many people taking pictures of the views, but not enjoying the beauty of nature around them.

Barbie - dry ice

 Barbie in Dry Ice

Part of class was the opportunity to play with dry ice.  We could bring anything to class to put in the dry ice and take pictures of it.  Well, this is what I had in mind.  Freezing my barbie and ken's head in ice and smoke around them.

To put this off, I had to literally pull off the head from the bodies.  I had to pour water into the heads and frozen them, so they would be heavy and not float to the top.   Once they were frozen, I placed them in the container and poured water into it.  I used sticks to keep them from floating around.  Checking about every 10 mins.  Moving the hair so it would look like it was floating.  Next morning I packed up my Barbie and Ken and brought them to class.

I can still see my instructors face as I pulled out my frozen heads.

Am I the only one that see the irony of it.  Your childhood frozen in time.

Okay I might be strange, but aren't we all a little strange in our own way.
